Our apiary in Essex Junction has easy access for our bees to forage the Winooski River watershed, the largest tributary that feeds into Lake Champlain. The surrounding area is also home to several open spaces such as Pearl Street Park, Casavant Nature Area, Woodside Natural Area, Saint Michael's Natural Area, Winooski Valley Park District, and Winooski Gorge Park, providing plenty of opportunities for our bees to gather nectar from a diverse range of natural sources.
Brooks Bees sources pure honey varieties from its own and other apiaries in Vermont, each with a unique and delicate floral taste and mild sweetness that is the hallmark of Vermont honey. Our commitment to sustainable beekeeping practices ensures that the honey is produced with utmost care and attention to detail, resulting in a high-quality product that is both delicious and nutritious. Whether drizzled over your morning toast or used as a natural sweetener in your tea, Brooks Bees' Vermont pure honey is sure to delight your taste buds with its exceptional flavor.
To ensure the highest quality, our beeswax undergoes a purification process that involves gentle heating to remove impurities while preserving its ionizing properties and natural fragrance. This process also clarifies the wax's natural color, resulting in a beautiful and clean product. Our beeswax candles are crafted by hand, with a focus on intention and attention to detail. From the pouring process to the final mold, each candle is made with care and dedication to create a beautiful and long-lasting product.
Beeswax candles are one of the oldest type of candles still used in the world today, and for good reason. An all natural substance that burns clean and bright, producing no harmful smoke or chemical byproducts. In fact, beeswax candles act as a natural ionizer, neutralizing dust and other allergens in the air. A great option for those with allergies or asthma.
If you enjoy scented candles, beeswax provides a great alternative. When burned, beeswax candles produce the natural, slightly sweet scent of honey and local wildflowers. To top it off, beeswax melts more slowly than artificial and oil-based waxes, which means that your candles last much longer.
Whether you want a romantic candlelight dinner or a reliable light source when the power goes out, the beeswax candles from Brooks Bees will more than satisfy you. We offer tealights, pillar candles, and elegant 8-inch tapers. Browse our different candles below and order yours today.
